Dad first — and everything else grows out of that.
Jim Fuller is a father first. Everything else grew from there.
After nearly four decades working in the restaurant industry, Jim’s life took a very different direction as the father of two children with disabilities. Following the death of their mother in 2021, he became their full-time parent and caregiver—an experience that eventually pulled him into disability advocacy and gave him a much louder voice than he ever expected to have.
Today, Jim is an author, podcaster and independent media founder. His work ranges from disability and parenting to faith, journalism and fiction, but the subjects are connected by the same curiosity: listening to people, questioning assumptions, and trying to understand the story behind what we think we know.
He lives in Arizona with his children, Roman and Juliana. Whatever project he happens to be working on, being their dad remains the most important thing he does.
